About us

Perched on the picturesque Ceredigion coast, Aberaeron is a beautifully preserved Georgian town celebrated for its vibrant harbourside homes, deep-rooted maritime history, and the famously warm hospitality of West Wales.

Gwesty Feathers Hotel - also known as the Feathers Royal Hotel, has been a landmark in Aberaeron since around 1815, when it was built by William Lewes of Llanaeron.

Overlooking the town square, it quickly gained a reputation as a refined and comfortable inn, offering a high standard of hospitality for its time.

We're proud that many of our team members are Welsh speakers, and that others are embracing the language and learning it with enthusiasm. Whether you're fluent, just beginning your journey, or curious about Welsh culture, you'll find a friendly face and a helping hand here.
